IQNet Association names its new set of Board of Directors and committee members
IQNet Association, the International Certification Network has elected its new set of Board of Directors last May 29 in line with its 29th General Assembly Meeting Week in Dublin. This year’s meeting was hosted by its Irish Partner—the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
The General Assembly, represented by 34 Full Members at the time of the elections, has appointed the Board of Directors to lead and manage the affairs of the Association from June 2017 to the General Assembly of 2020.
Alex Stoichitoiu (SRAC-Romania), who previously served as Vice President for 3 terms and represented the Association in several liaison works was elected President. The Vice Presidents who would simultaneously function as Standing Committee Chairs are: Aykut Kirbas (TSE-Turkey) for Peer and Membership Review; René Wasmer (SQS-Switzerland) for Constitution and Policy; Alister Dalyrmple (AFNOR-France) for Harmonisation; and Mario Calderon (AENOR-Spain) for Marketing and Development. The association elected Toru Mikami (JQA-Japan) and Gustavo Pontoriero (IRAM-Argentina) as Directors.
Former IQNet President, Michael Drechsel (DQS-Germany) will continuously serve to the Board as ex-officio. To join him as Advisors are Claudio Provetti (CISQ-Italy), Eli Cohen-Kagan (SII-Israel), and Roberto Montoya (ICONTEC-Colombia) and are expected to represent the interest of their respective regions.
The Standing Committee on Constitution and Policy which will be led by René Wasmer (SQS-Switzerland), has designated Roberto Montoya (ICONTEC-Colombia) and Friedrich Khuen-Belasi (Quality Austria) as Vice Chairs, and welcomed Mario Calderon (AENOR-Spain), Claudio Provetti (CISQ-Italy), Bing Xue (CQM-China), Michael Drechsel (DQS-Germany), Eli Cohen-Kagan (SII-Israel), Alex Stoichitoiu (SRAC-Romania), and Aykut Kirbas (TSE-Turkey) as members.
The Standing Committee on Peer and Membership Review with Aykut Kirbas (TSE-Turkey) as Chair, appointed Maria Julia Vaz (APCER-Portugal) and Paal Eddie (Nemko-Norway) as Vice Chairs, while Pan Ying (CQC China), Michael Drechsel (DQS-Germany), Gustavo Pontoriero (IRAM-Argentina), Avital Weinberg (SII-Israel), Milos Serazin (SIQ-Slovenia), Alex Stoichitoiu (SRAC-Romania), and Andrey Vinogradov (TEST St. Petersburg) to join as members of the committee.
Open committee Chair Alister Dalrymple, appointed Carmen Morales (AENOR-Spain) and Joana Guimarães Sa (APCER-Portugal) as SCH Vice Chairs, while Mario Calderon (AENOR-Spain) named Sied Sadek (DQS-Germany) and Pavel Nikanorov (Russian Register) as Vice Chairs for SCMD.
